SHALOM WORLD Launching New Channel for Australians


 

On Thursday, January 26, 2018, SHALOM WORLD Australia officially launched. An inaugural Holy Mass was celebrated by one of Shalom Media Australia’s patrons, Most Reverend Archbishop Julian Porteous prior to the launch. This new television channel, under the purview of Shalom Media, a Catholic media ministry, will broadcast 24/7 high-definition, Catholic content that is faith-filled, virtue-building, character-based, and family-friendly.

 

SHALOM WORLD Australia can be viewed on various platforms, including Roku, Xbox One, and Opera TV. SHALOM WORLD’s free app is available in the App Store and Google Play. In addition, SHALOM WORLD can be viewed online at www.ShalomWorld.org.

 

SHALOM WORLD Australia will supplement the pastoral efforts of the Church to spread the Good News of Jesus. With great support from Shepherds across Australia, SHALOM WORLD will offer programming that is a truly spiritual banquet for all ages. Many productions have already been completed with religious and lay Catholic preachers, as well as main-line ministries in the country.

 

By the time of the launch, three original 9PM Series of talks will feature Australian preachers, including Robert Falzon (Mondays, 9PM AEDT) and Mark Doyle (Tuedays, 9PM AEDT) of the menALIVE ministry, as well as Sister Hilda Scott (Fridays, 9PM AEDT) of Jamberoo Abbey in New South Wales. During the course of the next several months, more and more religious and lay preachers from Australia will be featured on SHALOM WORLD Australia, truly making this a channel for the nation.
